Why bohemian?
Apart from the obvious - making art and making love - bohemianism is a choice to play by a different set of rules, or moreover, to make your own rules. A bohemian does not look to a system of control to limit or define them. They understand the power of seeking experience over approval. Likewise bohemian poker is not defined by rules but rather players' creativity and ability to make meaning without a net.

Why poker?
Poker is dangerous. Playing a hand of poker is telling a story. It's about so much more than the cards you are dealt, its about how you use them. The best poker players transcend truth and probability. Bohemian poker is not really poker, though feel free to try. Like poker, bohemain poker embraces the conviction that a deeper experience exists outside the rules, beyond conventional wisdom. You make the hand, the hand doesn't make you.

Why minimalism?
Mininalism doesn't seek truth, it seeks niether to manipulate nor cajole. A pure expression of minalism is empty of meaning and emotional content. Laid bare, our only choice is to have a purely subjective (creative) experience. If we let it, our unconscious mind becomes conscious. The 4 suits and 13 symbols (moticos) that constitute a bohemian poker deck are intended to be free of inherent meaning. There is no truth in a deck of bohemian poker cards. The truth is up to you.

Tune in, turn on, make art.
Every hand of bohemian poker is a fleeting constellation of symbols. No truth, no right answer, only opportunity, creativity and fun.
